About Brooke

Hi, I'm Brooke — a school teacher, cheerleading coach, and the maker behind Memory Quilts by Brooke. I live in Middle Tennessee with my family, and quilting has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life.
It all started when I began making memory quilts as gifts for my cheerleaders. I'd take the t-shirts they'd collected over the years — from camps, competitions, and school events — and turn them into something they could keep forever. When other people saw those quilts, they fell in love and started asking for their own.
What began as a personal labor of love quickly grew into something bigger. Parents started sending me boxes of their children's baby clothes. Families reached out with shirts from a loved one who had passed. Each project carried a story, and I realized I wasn't just sewing fabric — I was helping people hold onto their most cherished memories.
I still teach school full-time, so I quilt in the evenings and on weekends. I take on a limited number of projects each month so that every single quilt gets the time, care, and attention it deserves. There are no shortcuts, no assembly lines — just me, my sewing machine, and your memories.
Every quilt I make is truly one-of-a-kind. I work closely with each customer to choose layouts, sashing, and finishing details that make their quilt feel personal and intentional. Whether it's a collection of concert tees, a box of baby onesies, or jerseys from every season of a sports career, I love figuring out how to arrange each piece so the finished quilt tells a story.
If you've got a pile of shirts you can't bear to throw away, or clothes from someone special that you want to preserve — I'd love to help you turn them into something beautiful. Let's create something you'll treasure for generations.
